おはようございます🌞
We held our class thru zoom last Saturday from 10:00-12:00 as usual. Last participants were two foreigners who are from Vietnam🇻🇳 and Egypt🇪🇬. And two of us enjoyed talking with them in Japanese.
What I was surprised is that Vietnamese used Chinese letters in the past. Participant told us that their grandparents know how to read and use Kanji😲📝 Vietnamese grammar is same as English grammar, not like Japanese one though.

→She(🇻🇳) could comprehend what she(🇯🇵) said clearly when she talked slowly.
(2)General conversation
💡She opened her mouth with some hesitations and she told her that she felt in love 💕 with Mt. Sakurajima🌋 now, although she felt scared coz the volcano was always facing in front of her when she met him at the first time. (I sincerely apologize if there’s a person who is thinking of Mt.Sakurajima as a female🤣)
💡Another information which we can provide is that they became best friends because they couldn’t stop smiling at all the time 😆

【Details】
📣Read aloud the textbook
They could read it smoothly as if they were Japanese, although they still have some problems with grammar and meanings of the words. That’s why we focus on studying the points they were confused. Example, adjective suffixes like “-na”.
🇹🇭Climate in Thailand
She told us that they have three main seasons which are summer, rainy season, and winter. Because of the climate change, they get caught in too much heavy rain and hotness throughout the year.
⛈Disaster prevention
We taught them about weather warning and disaster prevention maps in Kagoshima city. Actually, the place we held our class, Kamoike Fukushi Kan, is one of the shelter for in case of having disaster or any kinds of emergencies. Remember to go to Kamoike Fukushi Kan when you got any trouble because of disaster as long as your house is accessible to there.

→they emphasize how near and safe it is by selecting small girl with dogs as its main characters.

🇯🇵Civil servant (公務員(こうむいん))
→you know this cm with iconic intonation which is “Ko⤴︎muin⤴︎” in Kagoshima.

🇲🇾Shampoo (シャンプー)
→even the man who has dreadlocks can have extremely straight hair unfortunately.

→the woman whose husband dead because of the Covid has no fear of traffic accidents as long as she gets a membership in their car insurance.

→you can easily experience “miracle” in the game, although you can hardly experience it in real life.

(2) Japanese folk tales
We learned one of the famous folk tales in Japan called “Urashima Taro”. We did many quizzes while we were watching, so that they could understand deeper.
浦島太郎(うらしまたろう)について、動画(どうが)をみながらクイズ形式(けいしき)で学(まな)びました。
(3)Japanese news
We watched current Japanese news about child murder by her mother not only to improve their listening skills, but also to know these situations in other countries. In Malaysia, these cases have increased because of the COVID. In Vietnam, there’re some cases but they don’t broadcast it usually, and they focus more on government policies and situations.
母親(ははおや)による児童殺害事件(じどうさつがいじけん)についてのニュースを見(み)ました。マレーシアでも、コロナの影響(えいきょう)で同様(どうよう)の事件(じけん)が多発(たはつ)しているようです。ベトナムでは、基本的(きほんてき)にこの類(たぐい)のニュースは報道(ほうどう)されないそうです。
As you can guess, we’re changing styles of our class depended on their needs and levels.
